Anti Microbial Film | Bacterstop film for paper & cardboard lamination
XinLi developed Matte BacterStop(Anti-microbial) films. These films are available in thermal and wet lamination versions and can be used for the same applications a customer would typically use a matte finish for their packaging, books or printed commercial communication product.
BacterStop Guarantees that on the laminated surface the proliferation of bacteria is inhibited by more than 99% according to tests carried out by external laboratories in accordance with testing CNAS standard.

What is COVID-19?
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2  (SARS-CoV-2).
It is transmitted chiefly by contact with infectious material. According to World  Health Organization (WHO),
there are no specific vaccines or treatments at this time.
 
How Could Copper Help in Fight against COVID-19?
Copper is  highly conductive and  electrons are constantly  moving back and  forth, and this  behavior creates
the antimicrobial action. The mechanism of “contact-killing” of bacteria/virus by copper is as follows :


Is Copper Really Effective?
The usage of copper for health purposes dates all the way back to
Ancient Egypt because of its antimicrobial properties.
According to a 2015 study published in Health Environments Research
and Design Journal, some of the common germs or viruses copper has
been proven to kill are: MRSA, E. coli, Influenza A, Norovirus.
According to a brand new research published in the New England
Journal of Medicine, it notes that copper can be effective against
SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the coronavirus pandemic .


FAQ 
1.  Do antivirus films need cleaning or maintenance?  - It is not necessary. The anti-virus performance is not affected by that.

2.  Is there an expiry date for the antivirus film upon application onto surfaces?
    - No particular expiration date. It needs to be replaced when the film surface is worn out. 
      It is normal that the button for the "1st" floor of the elevator is worn out relatively quickly and that's the main reason the film is replaced.
   - The coated type must be replaced quickly since this coating layer is thin. But our product is a mixture of copper (Cu) and other chemical materials in the whole film. 

3.  Can we print on the antivirus film?
     - Yes, it is printable. Normally it is difficult in this grade, but we made it possible through an intense R&D process.  We are now shipping this to the US client in a container base and this function was their requirement for business with us.

4.  Is there an expiration date for the antivirus if left unused?
     - With respect to anti-virus performance, there is no shelf life.
     - In regards to adhesive type, however, the adhesion can slightly start changing after 1~ 2 years. Nevertheless, there is no issue for usage normally. 

5. What are the sanitary regulations necessary to be able to market the product? For example, in the United States, must the FDA be applied or is it not considered a product that affects human health?   
    - This type of product was categorized as an office product or retail item just until three months ago, so the sanitary regulations haven't been applied to this product and still there is no requirement for such regulations.
      However, since the demand for this product is "dramatically" going up in many countries, we are thinking of securing a CE or equivalent mark.
